Welcome to tagit. The tagit service is operated by bla ehf. (company registration no. 6410190890), Ölduslóð 48, 220 Hafnarfjörður, Iceland (“tagit”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the tagit platform, including our website, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using tagit, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our Service. We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use tagit. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using tagit, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

2.1 Account Creation

You can create an account using email, Google, Facebook, or GitHub authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

2.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Do not share your account with others
• We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account

3. Use of the Service

3.1 Permitted Use

tagit is designed for personal and professional use to:

• Save and bookmark articles, links, and web content
• Organize content with tags and collections
• Share collections with collaborators
• Search and discover saved content
• Use the browser extension to save content while browsing

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may not use tagit to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Upload, store, or share illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Send spam or unsolicited messages through shared features

4. Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you save, create, or upload to tagit (“Your Content”). By using tagit, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.

4.2 Content Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for Your Content
• You must have the right to save and share any content you add
• We do not monitor or endorse user content, but may remove content that violates these Terms
• Shared collections are visible to invited members, so share responsibly

4.3 Content Removal

You can delete your content at any time. We may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or our policies. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before removal, except in urgent cases.

5. Plans and Payments

5.1 Free Plan

The free plan includes basic features with usage limits on the number of articles, tags, and collections. Free accounts may display advertisements.

5.2 Paid Plans

• Paid plans offer increased limits, additional features, and an ad-free experience
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment provider
• Prices are listed in USD and may change with 30 days notice
• Refunds are available under our Refund Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee on first purchases

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. Your content is preserved but may become inaccessible if it exceeds free plan limits.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

tagit, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by bla ehf. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

6.2 Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about tagit, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using tagit, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

tagit integrates with third-party services including authentication providers (Google, Facebook, GitHub), payment processors (Paddle), and analytics tools. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

• tagit is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of content you save from external websites
• External links saved through tagit may become unavailable or change without notice

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tagit and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless tagit from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You can delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data when reasonably possible.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of tagit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Reykjavik, Iceland, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
