Feeds: follow sites, channels and topics

Feeds bring new articles to you. Add a website, a YouTube channel or just a topic, and fresh articles show up with previews in the sidebar, ready to save. This guide covers creating a feed, the three kinds of source, and how often feeds update.

Create a feed

  1. Click New feed under Feeds in the sidebar.
  2. Give the feed a name, like "Icelandic news" or "Design".
  3. In Website or topic, type an address or a few words and click Find.
  4. Pick the sources you want from what comes back. Each one shows its latest headlines, so you know what you are adding.
  5. Click Create feed.

A feed can mix sources: a couple of news sites, a YouTube channel and a topic in one list, newest first.

To change a feed later, open it and use Add source, Rename or Delete. Remove a single source with the × on its chip.

Websites

Paste the site's address, like visir.is. tagit looks for the site's RSS feeds and lists them. If the site has none, it offers to watch the page instead, which picks up new article links as they appear on it.

Pasting a section page, like visir.is/sport, follows that section rather than the whole site.

YouTube channels

Paste the channel's address, like youtube.com/@PaddleTV. New videos arrive with their thumbnails. YouTube shares a channel's latest 15 videos, so a new feed starts with those and fills up as the channel posts.

Topics

Type a few words instead of an address, like France protests or vibe coding, and the result is a Topic. tagit then keeps finding fresh articles about it from news sites across the web. Each article is tagged with the site it came from.

Topics search the public web only. They never show other people's saves.

Reading and saving

New articles come with a preview image wherever one can be found. Click a card to preview it, and the + button to save it to your library with the tags you choose.

The number next to a feed in the sidebar counts articles you have not seen yet. Opening the feed clears it.

How often feeds update

Opening a feed checks its sources for anything new, so it is current when you look at it. Sources are also checked every 30 minutes in the background. Articles stay in a feed for 30 days; save the ones worth keeping.

Limits

Feeds are personal and show in your personal workspace. The free plan has 3 feeds; Premium and Team have 20. Each feed can have up to 20 sources.
